Alma M. Wallace

Age 89, passed away peacefully at Mercy Siena Woods nursing facility in Dayton Ohio on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Alberta Wallace and Edgar Ross Wallace. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Warden and Marjorie Gates.

Alma was born in Gallipolis December 24, 1921 and lived there her entire working life prior to moving to Dayton after retirement where she could be closer to her family. Alma leaves her nephew Lewis Gates and his wife Joyce Gates of Dayton, Ohio and nieces Deborah Warden of Florida and Rebecca Bowman of Arizona.

She also leaves her great niece Christina Minch and her husband Corbin Minch of West Chester, Ohio.

Alma was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church of Gallipolis. Services will be at Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Saturday, October 1 at 1:30 PM. with Pastor Bill Thomas officiating. Friends of the family are encouraged to visit between 1:00 and 1:30 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Grace United Methodist Church in her memory.
