Once again the death angel has visited our community, and taken from our midst a beloved mother, daughter, sister, friend and neighbor to all who knew her.
Amanda departed from this world at 6:45 AM. Saturday, September 28, 2013. Due to injuries from a car accident.
She was born on June 26, 1978 in Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis. She was the daughter of Franklin D. and Edna Blake Mooney. At the time of her death she was 35 years, 3 months, and 2 days of age.
Amanda was the wife of Randy Birchfield , and the mother of Blake and Alex Birchfield.
She is survived by her parents, Franklin D. and Edna Mooney of Crown City, 2 children, Blake and Alex Birchfield of Crown City, siblings, Rhonda (Robert) McGuire of Crown City, Rodney Mooney of Jackson, Frank (Lana) Mooney of Crown City, and Shelba (Walter) Hineman of Crown City. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and great nieces and nephews.
And for her loved ones, knowing that in the year of 1989, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior helps take the sting off death and gives victory over the grave.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Thursday October 3, 2013 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Victory Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 PM.
