Anna Lucille "Lucy" Davis, age 87 of Gallipolis, passed away Thursday October 24, 2024 at Holzer Medical Center. Born January 1, 1937 in Proctorville, she was the daughter of the late Millard and Amy Gorby Spears. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, William Jesse Davis, a son in law, Scott Curfman, brothers, Ernie, James and Eddie, sisters, Virginia, Millie, Betty and Peggy and by a special sister-in-law, Patty.

Lucy was a homemaker and the best mom and grandma ever. She could always make you laugh, was selfless and loved by all who knew her. She was truly an angel walking on earth.

She is survived by her children, Shane (Susan) Davis, Emily Spires, Amy Curfman, Missy (Josh) Chapman and her special son, John Saunders, grandchildren, Chance (Sydney) Davis, Jessi (Zach) Blanton, Sami (Wyatt) Patterson, Taylor Chapman, Luke (Lexy) Saunders, Kailyn Staton, Scott Saunders, Kayla, Micah and Bryce, great grandchildren, Carson, Hudson and Hayes Blanton and Finn Patterson and was looking forward to meeting her new great grandchild that is to be born in November. Also surviving are brothers, Paul and Raymond Spears and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM. Sunday October 27, 2024 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastors Alfred Holley and Mark Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be: Wyatt Patterson, Scott Saunders, Luke Saunders, Trenton Meadows, Richard Potts, Chance Davis, Zach Blanton and Noah Cooper.
