Ben Chaney Jr., age 91, of Gallipolis, died Monday April 16, 2018 at Holzer Medical Center. Born on May 12, 1926 in Millard, KY he was the son of the late Ben and Effie Flannery Chaney Sr. He is also preceded by two brothers Gifford and Stanford Chaney and one sister Kathleen Green.

He was a retired meat cutter.

He is survived by his daughter Sharon Jean (Archie) Combs of Oak Hill, OH, one grandchild Gary Douglas Combs, two nieces Kathy Green of Lexington, KY and Shanna Blankenship of Huntington, WV, two nephews Sammy Green of Lexington, KY and Creighton Green of Washington, D.C.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday April 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow at Swan Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Saturday April 28, 2018.
