Obituary

Bobby Lee 'Abe' Richie, age 82, of Gallipolis, died Saturday June 4, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Born April 9, 1934 in Gallia County, he was the son of the late George Matthew and Sadie Louise Walters Richie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a son, Timothy Len Richie, two brothers, Dane and Gary Richie, a sister, Rose Mary Angel, a grandson, Brian David Donnally and by a great granddaughter, Ella Reese Richie.
Abe was an electrician, retiring from the Gavin Plant. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching westerns. He attended St. Louis Catholic Church.
He is survived by, his wife of 60 years, Rosa Lee Pierotti Richie, five children, Catherine (David) Donnally, Thomas (Lisa) Richie, John (Courtney) Richie, Christine (Randy) Crews, and Diane (Jerry) Bonecutter. Grandchildren, Jake Richie, Grace Donnally (Johnny Maynard), Andrea Martin (Johnathan Rayburn) Chas Whittington (Dana Williams), Valerie (Ryan) Henry, Anna Donnally (Nathan Biars), Shay (Matthew) Davison, Casey (Tara) Whittington, Jacob Crews, Matthew Donnally, Gavin Davis, Tyler Bonecutter, and Abigail Bonecutter, along with twelve great grandchildren. Two brothers, Clifford (Fran) Richie and Jim (Myra) Ross, four sisters, Sandra (Joe) Fierbaugh, Texanne (Larry) Nolan, Rhonda (David) Hackley and Sue Ross. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Thursday June 9, 2016 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM. until the time of service. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers, with Brian Donnally being remembered as a Honorary pallbearer.
