Bobby J. Clark, age 84, of Gallipolis, died Thursday evening January 8, 2015 at Abbyshire Nursing Center. Born June 6, 1930 in Roane County, Virginia. He was the son of the late Joseph T. and Ada Frances Brown Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother, Royal Clark and a sister, Irene Denuit.
Bobby was a United State Air Force Veteran, where he served as an Air traffic controller. He worked as a salesman for Voto Mfrs. Sales Corp. retiring with 30 years of service. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, a former member of the Gallipolis Lions Club and the Gallia County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn E. Steffee Clark who he married on February 9, 1957 in Akron, Ohio. 1 Son, Brent (Wanda) Clark of Gallipolis, 2 Daughters, Colleen (V. Lee) Wedemeyer of LaRue, OH. and Kelly (Mark) Allen of Gallipolis, 3 Grandchildren, Karl and Derek Wedemeyer of LaRue, and Kristin Clark Stinson of Gallipolis, 1 Great Grandchild, Daniel Stinson, and 1 Sister, Dorthea Stricklen of Pt. Pleasant, WV.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM. Wednesday January 14, 2015 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Bob Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 PM. Military Funeral Honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail.
