Bonnie Jean Smith, age 86, of Gallipolis, died Wednesday morning August 28, 2024 at Holzer Senior Care Center. Born May 5, 1938 in Milford, IN., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen Davis Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, William C. "Bill" Smith; son, Ronnie Smith,  2 sisters, Carol Wiseman and Janice Dykes, and a brother, Richard Morgan.

Bonnie worked at Paul Davies Jewelry Store for 15 years, and was also a farm wife. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, and enjoyed going to auctions and collecting antiques.

Bonnie is survived by her children, David (Lora) Smith of Brookville, IN., Alan (Debbie) Mantooth of Westminster, MD., Karen (Russ) Shaw of Bidwell, Rebecca (Jason) Wells of Gallipolis and Steven (Missi) Smith of Chillicothe. 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Janice Smith of Rushville IN., a sister, Evelyn (Larry) Shelp of Seymour, IN.;  sister-in-law, Jeraldine Morgan of Greensburg, IN., and by a brother-in-law, Jerry Wiseman of Greensburg, IN.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Tuesday September 3, 2024 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM. till time of service.
