We are broken hearted to announce, Carl Raymond Fillinger Sr. went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday November 17, 2022 at Holzer Medical Center. He was born April 21, 1939 in Guyan Township, Gallia County.

Carl was a United States Navy Veteran, serving for 5 years. He formerly worked at GDC as a laundry supervisor. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, and a devoted husband, loving father, and a hard worker.

Carl is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Green Fillinger of Crown City; 1 son, Carl (Barbara) Fillinger Jr. of Crown City; 2 daughters, Carlene (Peyton) Materne of Rio Grande and Christy (Benjamin) Harrison of Crown City; 4 grandchildren, Kimberly Fillinger of Proctorville, Ryley Harrison, Dinah Harrison and Cali Harrison all of Crown City; 1 great granddaughter Averie Harrison of Crown City; and by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.

Pallbearers will be: Christy Harrison, Benjamin Harrison, Peyton Materne and Tonya Stapleton.
