Charles Marvin 'Pete' Martin, age 88 of Crown City, passed away on Wednesday February 21, 2018 at his residence. Born August 21, 1929 in Clark County, KY he was the son of the late Randall and Margaret Workman Martin. In addition to his parents he was preceded by his Wife, Laura Lee Martin; 2 Sons, Charles Martin Jr. and Frank Douglas Martin; 1 Daughter, Linda Rohrbaugh, 4 Brothers, Bernie, Sam, Robert, and Othol Martin; and by 6 Sisters, Grace Johnson, Edna Nichols, Louise Wyatt, Edith Fuller, Flossie Stewart, and Bertha Graham.

Pete was a farmer and also owned and operated a trucking business. He was a Ohio Township Trustee for over 40 years and formerly attended the Victory Baptist Church.

He is survived by 4 Sons, Paul (Mary) Martin of Gallipolis, Terry Martin of Crown City, Randy (Teresa) Martin of Gallipolis, and Todd Martin of Crown City; 4 Daughters, Margaret Adkins of Crown City, Sue Goelling of Gallipolis, Carolyn Martin of Crown City, and Rosa Martin of Gallipolis; 18 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren; and by 1 Brother, Okey (Irene) Martin of Gallipolis.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Sunday February 25, 2018 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Kings Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 to 8 PM.

Pallbearers will be: Paul Martin, Randall Martin, Terry Martin, Todd Martin, Carey Adkins, Mike Meadows, John Martin, and Jeff Martin.
