Chester Workman, age 96 of Point Pleasant, died Wednesday February 22, 2017, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. Born August 25, 1920, in Kentucky, he was the son of the late Rev. Floyd  and Jennie Pauley Workman.  In addition to his parents, he was  preceded by his wife of 75 years, Emma Oldaker Workman in 2013, and by a son, Chester "Buddy" Burdette Workman in 2011.

Chester worked at various jobs and retired from Union Meclin Towing Company as Chief Engineer.

He is survived by 4 grandsons, Timothy, David, Mark and Steven Workman , several great and great great grandchildren and step great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law Earlene Workman , 1 brother, Rev. Ralph (Joan)Workman of Gallipolis, 4 sisters Jennie Henry of Gallipolis, Mary (Eddie) Fulks of Crown City, Hilda (Sam) Petruzzi of Pittsburgh, and Doris (Allen) Waugh of Cincinnati.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM. Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating.
