Clara B. Facemire, age 92, of Gallipolis (the Shoestring Ridge Community), died Tuesday evening June 7, 2011 in the emergency room at Pleasant Valley Hospital, following a sudden illness. She had resided the past six years at Abbyshire Nursing Facility.
Born July 23, 1918 in Gallia County. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Minnie Hively Kuhn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Eskew Facemire on May 20, 1979, and by brothers and sisters, Samuel, Hollis, Lavada, Lois, Luther and Ethel Faye.
Clara was a homemaker and a member of Elizabeth Chapel Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte (David) Seamon of Gallipolis, two grandsons, D. Erich (Masha) Seamon of Moscow, Idaho, and Aaron A. (Angela) Seamon of Columbus, three great granddaughters, Natasha Ann Seamon of Moscow, Idaho, Cynthia Charlotte and Rose McLarty Seamon of Columbus. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Saturday June 11, 2011 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Clay Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 7-9 PM.
