Danny Ray Brown, age 78 of Vinton, died Saturday April 5, 2025 at Holzer Medical Center. Born July 15, 1946 in Floyd County, Ky. He was the son of the late Parker Brown and Rebecca J. Jarrell Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother, an infant grandson and several nieces and nephews.

He retired after 32 years of service from GDC. He loved working with his German Shepherds, playing with his kids, gardening, collecting knives and target shooting. He loved taking Shauni for rides in his old truck to get cappuccinos.

Danny is survived by wife of 46 years, Renda Rutt Brown of Vinton, son, Daniel of Gratis, OH. Daughter, Brandi of Gallipolis and granddaughter, Shauni of Vinton. Also surviving is his brother, Ralph (Barbara) Brown of Gallipolis, sisters-in-law, Beatrice Jarrell of Prestonsburg, KY, and  Dreama (Stuart) Lentz of South Carolina, special friends, Charles and Minnie Miller of Gallipolis and several nieces and nephews.

Danny will be forever loved and missed.

There are no services being scheduled and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
