Deborah Renee Rumley Harrison

November 28, 1968 – March 1, 2026

Deborah Renee Rumley Harrison, 57, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with colon cancer, strokes, and other health challenges.

Born on November 28, 1968, to Don and Joyce Rumley, Debbie dedicated her life to caring for others. She became a nurse in 1998 and spent nearly three decades serving patients with compassion and dedication. Most recently, she worked at Arbors of Pomeroy, where she continued to do what she loved—caring for those in need.

Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her profession. Debbie was a devoted caregiver to her grandmother, Betty Rumley, until her passing. She also lovingly cared for her dear mother, Joyce Rumley, during her time in hospice until her passing. Caring for others was not just her career. It was who she was.

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Chad Harrison (September 2015), her grandmother, Betty (April 2022) and her mother, Joyce (January 2024).

She is survived by her father, Don Rumley; her children, James (Tracy) Rumley and Tyler George (Victor Grimes); and her cherished grandchildren, Josslyn George, Maxine Rumley, and Leo Grimes, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her sister, Samantha (Mike) Reese, nephews and niece, Derek Reese, Jared Reese, and Savannah Reese, along with many extended family members, friends, and coworkers who surrounded her with love and support in her final days.

Debbie had a special love for animals, especially dogs, and found great comfort and joy in their companionship throughout her life.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace and free from the struggles of her health challenges. Her life was a testament to quiet courage and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She will be remembered for her strength, her giving heart, and the countless lives she touched through both her profession and her love.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
