Dennis E. McKinney, age 77, of Mayfield, KY went to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 15, 2025. Born February 25, 1948 in Gallipolis, Ohio, he was the son of Henry and Edna Plantz McKinney. He was preceded in death hy his parents, his son Henry Paul McKinney; siblings, Clay, Berteen, Audra, Raymond and Donald.

Dennis was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a wonderful man, a loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Emma McKinney; 5 children: Christina McKinney, Daniel McKinney, David McKinney, Emily McKinney and K.C. McKinney. Surviving siblings, Florence Schultz and Pauline Wilson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM. Sunday October 19, 2025 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home in Gallipolis, Ohio with Pastor Bob Hood officiating. Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery. Friends can call at the funeral home on Sunday October 19, 2025 from 12:00 PM. until 2:00 PM.

Military Funeral Honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the VFW #4464 Honor Guard.
