Donald W. Holley, age 64, of Gallipolis, Ohio, 'Went to be with his Lord' at his residence on Thursday January 20, 2011. Born August 22, 1946 he was the son of the late Arnold and Allie B. Layne Holley. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a infant Son; a infant Granddaughter, Lindsay Lewis; 2 Brothers, Beuford Holley and Dale D. Holley; and by 2 Sisters, Doris Imogene Jeffers and Leslie I. Stapleton.
Donald drove a concrete truck for Jenkins Concrete for several years, and then later worked at Federal Mogul. He was a United States Army Veteran, which he entered in on April 5, 1965. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 4464, and he was an active member of the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail for 25 years. He loved honoring his fellow comrades.

He is survived by 2 Daughters, Christina Louise Higley, and Teresa Donn (Jon) Lewis; 1 Stepdaughter, Charity Marie Waugh; 3 Grandchildren, Elizabeth Taylor, Andrew Welch, and Halie Welch; 2 Step Granddaughters, Josie and Carly Waugh; 4 Brothers, Melvin C. Holley, Basil T. Holley, Warren D. Holley, and George C. Holley Sr.; 5 Sisters, Betty Johannesen, Bessie (Harold) Duncan, Janice (Floyd) Stapleton, Naomi B. (Gene) Brown, and Shirley A. (Dale) Watson; 1 Brother in law, Carl J. Stapleton, and by 1 Sister in law, Carolyn Holley.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday January 24, 2011 at the Kings Chapel Church with Pastor Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kings Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the Waugh- Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 to 9 P.M.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Welch, Paul Holley, Patrick Watson, Jonathon Watson, Terry Holley, and Lawrence Holley.
