Dottie Elaine Saxton, age 54, of Waverly, West Virginia and formerly of Gallipolis, died Monday afternoon March 14, 2011 at the Worthington Manor Care Center in Parkersburg. She was born November 30, 1956 in Gallia County. She is preceded by her adoptive parents, Garland Riddle, Mary Frances and Bill Garwood, and by her birth parents, William A. and Sarah Jane Stewart.

Dottie formerly worked at the Gallipolis Developmental Center as a LPN.

She is survived by 4 Children: Garland Leslie (Jody Louise) Swisher of Gallipolis, Sharon Elaine (Timothy Wayne) McGhee of Romulus, MI, William Ray (Tia) Saxton of Parkersburg, WV, and by Jody Lynn Saxton (Franklin Phillips) of Waverly, WV.; 11 Grandchildren: Cody Allen Saxton, Garland Phoenix Swisher, Raven Conner Swisher, Mariah Breann McGhee, Meghan Leeann McGhee, Christian Eugene Saxton, Harley L. Saxton, Haley Lynn Saxton, Sabrina Paige Lowery, Wyatt Elwood Phillips and Matthew Jacob Phillips.

Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday March 21, 2011 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pine Street Cemetery.
