Earmel Lee Hunt, age 64 of Hamden, died Sunday evening December 29, 2024 at her residence. Born May 17, 1960 in Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Earmel and Alta Powers Young. In addition to her parent's, she was preceded by her grandparents and by a nephew, Michael Malernee.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband, Andrew Hunt, children, Earmel Lee Nicole Bacha (Donald) and Matthew Robinson (Tracy) and her grandchildren, Carson Bacha and Emily and Jacob Robinson. She also leaves behind her siblings, James Hall of Virginia, Ira Hall of West Virginia, Vicki and Bob Davis of Ohio, Marsha Gearhart of Ohio, Leverne and Scott Zielinski of North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.

EarmelLee 'Lee' was a force of nature and a devout follower of Christ. She chose to spend her time in varied ways. In her lifetime, she worked in the medical field, the cleaning business and as a homemaker. She devoted her time to her family; her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Her absence leaves behind a void that will not be filled and her family takes comfort in the fact that she is now at peace and in her final home.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Friday January 10, 2025 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
