Obituary

Edith Jackson Callicoat, age 76, of Gallipolis, died Monday morning December 28, 2015 at Holzer Medical Center. Born April 7, 1939 in Gallia County. She was the daughter of the late Wayne and Minnie Drummond Harrison. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded by her husbands, Johnnie Jackson and William Callicoat, by four brothers, Jim, Wayne, Paul and Mike Harrison, and by two sisters, Rita Beattie and Linda Mayes.
Edith was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary. She was a former member of the French City Shrinettes.
She is survived by her son, Ron (Rhonda Zirkle) Jackson of Gallipolis, a brother, Gary (Debbie) Harrison of Gallipolis, and a sister, Thelma Skidmore of Gallipolis.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Thursday December 31, 2015 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Pallbearers will be: Timmy Skidmore, Chris Harrison, Justin Coe, Gene Canaday, Tommy Meadows, and Richard Jagers.
