Eleanor Eloise Harrison Ward, age 85, of Bidwell and formerly of Rio Grande, died Tuesday March 26, 2024 at her residence. Born June 16, 1938 in Gallipolis, she was the daughter of the late Merriel Jud Harrison and Emma Saunders Harrison Simpson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Harry Glenn Ward whom she married on June 5, 1955 in Gallipolis.
Eloise retired from the First National Bank after many years of service as a teller. She was the first hostess of the Bob Evans Sausage Shop. Eloise was a member of the Grace Methodist Church, part of the Westly Weds Sunday school class and a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Lynn (Jay Rhodes) Beach of Bidwell; son, Terry (Charlene) Ward of Patriot; grandchildren, Michael Glenn (Kristin) Ward, Zach Beach, Sebastian Beach, Bexley Burns, Sable Beach, Ryder Rhodes and Lilly Phillip.
Memorial services will be 1:00 PM. Friday April 5, 2024 in the Chapel of Hope at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens with Pastor Ray Kane officiating. Eastern Star services will also be conducted by the Gallipolis Order of the Eastern Star #283.
