Emily Ann Robinson, age 60, of Gallipolis, died Saturday morning April 21, 2012 at the Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Athens. Born April 1, 1952 in Akron, she was the daughter of the late Harold N. 'Robby' and Thelma L. Schmidt Robinson.
Emily was a 1970 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, and a 1974 graduate of Rio Grande College. She retired from the Gallia County Local Schools, having taught 4th grade at Hannan Trace Elementary School for many years. She was currently serving as a substitute teacher.
She was a charter member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Talmadge, Ohio and a charter member of the New Life Lutheran Church in Gallipolis. She was also a member of the Gallia County Retired Teachers Association.
Emily is survived by her brother, Neal (Amy) Robinson of Munroe Falls, Ohio. She is also survived by 3 nieces, Vanessa, Melissa, and Pam Robinson, along with many friends.
Funeral services will be at 5:00 PM. Wednesday April 25, 2012 at the New Life Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Baker officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 4:00 PM. until the time of service. Burial will follow at a later date in the Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
