Eric L. 'Butch' Springer, age 55, of Gallipolis, died Saturday December 28, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington. Born July 25, 1958 in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Clarence and Frances Moore Springer.
Butch was an auto mechanic. He was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School and of Buckeye Hills Career Center.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Swift Springer, who he married on December 31, 1992 in Gallipolis. 5 step children, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Ed Springer and 2 nephews, Robbie and Chris Springer of North Carolina.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM. Friday January 3, 2014 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family or to the funeral home to help with Eric's funeral expenses.
