Evelyn C. Jeffers, age 95, of Gallipolis, (Eureka Community) died Sunday morning August 9, 2015 in Hilliard, Ohio. Born May 13, 1920 in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Norma Jeffers Halley. In addition to her parents she preceded by her Husband, Charles Jeffers, who she married on December 31, 1937 and he preceded her on July 15, 2008. A Brother, Wendell Halley; a Granddaughter, Julie Morgan; and a Great Granddaughter, Kaitlyn Morgan also precede her.
She retired from the Gallia County License Bureau. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her Daughter, Sandra Morgan of Grove City, Ohio; Grandchildren, Lori (Gary) Cox of Hilliard, Ohio and Chris (Andrea) Morgan of Grove City, Ohio; and by her Great Grandchildren, Megan (Adam) Norris, Corbin Cox, Rebecca Cox, Derek Cox, Xander Cox, Ethan Morgan, and Emma Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Saturday August 15, 2015 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Barry officiating. Burial will follow in Clay Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to services.
