Frances Marie Lucas, age 86, of Gallipolis, passed away Wednesday May 25, 2011 at her residence. She was born July 16, 1925, in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late Jake and Rosie McGuire Betz. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her first Husband, Ira Barcus Sr. and her second Husband, Ora Lucas and by 1 Sister, Dorothy Houck.

Frances was a homemaker.

She is survived by 4 Sons: Michael (Paula Derenberger) Barcus Sr. of Gallipolis, Larry (Peggy) Barcus Sr. of Gallipolis, Ira (Sue) Barcus Jr. of Gallia County, and Ralph (Marie) Barcus of Virginia; 9 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, Several Great Grandchildren, 1 Brother, Irvin J. Betz of Sandusky, Ohio and by several Nieces and Nephews. She is also survived by a special friend Linda Earl of Gallipolis.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday May 27, 2011 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from Noon until time of service.
