Frank J. Henson, age 74, of Gallipolis, died after battling cancer, Thursday morning July 7, 2011 at Holzer Medical Center. Born March 23, 1937 in Collinsville, Alabama. He was the son of the late Jessie and Emma Cobb Henson. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a brother, Donald Henson.
Frank retired from Foster Sales, where he worked as a long haul truck driver.
He is survived by his Wife, Ann Ruth Blackwell of Gallipolis, 8 Children, Benita Henson of Gallipolis, James Henson of Patriot, Aaron (Karen) Henson of Gallipolis, Bruce Henson of Gallipolis, Laurel Henson of Gallipolis, April (Keith) Banks of Lewis Center, Ohio, Amy (Dewey) Darby of Lewis Center, Ohio, and Frankie Henson of Gallipolis. 12 Grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren. 1 Brother, Willie Ray (Barbara) Henson of Crossville, Alabama, and 1 Niece, Regina Henson of Crossville, Alabama.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM. Monday July 11, 2011 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home 810 2nd. Ave. Gallipolis, Ohio with Rev. Herman George officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
