Frank Edward Naskey, age 95, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Arbors at Gallipolis. He was born on April 21, 1931, in Clarksburg, WV.; son of the late Samuel Naskey Jr. and Mary Kerere Naskey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Carole "Katy" Phillips Naskey on April 3, 2017, daughter, Rebecca Rothgeb and a grandson, Casey Canaday.
Frank was a United States Air Force Veteran, after serving he graduated with a master's degree from Marshall College. He began working for the Evans Supermarket Company, which is what brought him and his family to Gallipolis in 1958. He later worked at Federal Mogul, before starting and operating several businesses including the Goody Shop and Dan Tax/Jackson Hewitt. Frank had a strong work ethic, and he continued to work until he was 84. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, VFW #4464, American legion #27, and was a life member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed camping and was an ardent fan of the Gallia Academy Blue Devils and the Ohio State Buckeyes. For many years he was very active in the GAHS Band Boosters.
Frank is survived by his children, Kim Y. (Mike) Canaday of Gallipolis, and Lori (Tom) Young of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Amy Beth (Arnie) Duke of Noblesville, Indiana, Heath (Jodi) Rothgeb of Bailey, Colorado, Tessa Campbell of Honolulu, Hawaii, Alyssa (Greg) Cepluch of Fishers, Indiana, and Drew (Anna) Young of Hebron, Ohio; great grandchildren, Madeline Duke, Jack Thomas Duke, Willow Rothgeb, Kyson Rothgeb, and Alex Cepluch; a sister, Diane (Darell) Hyre of Adrian, West Virginia, nephew, Daniel (Lani) Hyre, niece, Denise (Greg) Fornier, great nephew, Daniel Hyre Jr., and a sister-in-law, Janet Bias.
Burial will be private.
The family would like to thank the administration and nursing staff at Arbors at Gallipolis for all their care and compassion that was given to Frank.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Gallia Academy Football Team, PO Box 1058 Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
