Freeda D. Burnett, age 83, of Gallipolis, (the Kanauga community), 'Went home to be with the Lord' on Monday April 11, 2011.
"Freeda Mae" was born April 13, 1927 in Mason County, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late William James Dunn and the late Miriam Williams Dunn Hudson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 54 years, Clyde D. Burnett, a sister, Edith Dunn Leitch, and by 2 step brothers, Jim and Bob Dunn.
Freeda was a homemaker and attended Fairhaven United Methodist Church in Kanauga.
She is survived by :

Tom (Tonia) Burnett of Gallipolis
2 Daughters: Jo (Bob) Garbesi of Gallipolis
Robin (George) Wharton of Rocky River, OH.
9 Grandchildren: Ryan (Hannah) Burnett, Josh Burnett, Aaron (Rian) Burnett, Brittany Burnett, Daniel Wharton, Taylor Wharton, Maria (Brady) Freeman, Jessica Garbesi, and Jamie (Amanda) Caldwell.
5 Great Grandchildren: Haleigh, Jalea, and Blake Caldwell, Cammi Burnett and Logan Burnett.
2 Sisters: Ellen (Winston) Fontaine of Pensacola, FL.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Saturday April 16, 2011 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral Home with Pastor Alvis Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Reynolds Cemetery in Addison. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon until the time of service.
