Glendel Blackburn, age 78, of New Albany, OH. Died Saturday March 26, 2011 at home. Born January 11, 1933 in Southside, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late George W. Spencer and Mary Bays Spencer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, James Blackburn; her brothers Frank Spencer, Richard Spencer, and Wayne Spencer; and her sister Frances Spencer. Glendel is survived by 3 sons:
David Spencer (Jeannie); Mike Blackburn; and Steve Blackburn (Angela); 1 daughter Joyce Blackburn. 15 grandchildren Lisa, Spencer, Amanda, Travis, Lora, Brooke, Heather, Steven, Chasity, Brittany, Angie, Robert, Joshua, Tiffany and Courtney and 16 great grandchildren; 2 brothers George and Clyde Spencer. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM. Tuesday,
March 29, 2011 at the Waugh Halley Wood Funeral Home 810 2nd. Ave. Gallipolis, OH. with Pastor Ralph Workman officiating.
