Obituary

Glenn Harold Adkins, age 85 of Gallipolis, passed away at his residence on Sunday October 1, 2017. Born May 9, 1932 in Gallia County, he was the son of the late Elmer and Mabel Price Adkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a son, Glenn Harold Adkins Jr, a daughter Stephanie Fillinger, two brothers, William Henson Adkins and Eugene Hillard Adkins, and by a sister, Elnora Bostic.

Harold was a graduate of Cheshire High-School, and retired from Kaiser Aluminum Company after 38 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Adams Adkins of Gallipolis, who he married on July 29, 1953, a Daughter, Lissa (Mark) Curnutte of Gallipolis, Grandchildren, Sherry L. Hill of Columbus Ohio and Andrew Fillinger of Crown City, and one Great Grandson William Glenn Fillinger.

Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Sunday October 8, 2017 at the Waugh- Halley- Wood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call the funeral home on Sunday, from noon until the time of service

Pallbearers will be: Terry Adams, Teddy Adams, A.J. Fillinger, Jimmy Davis, Jeremy Wray and Mark Curnutte.                                                 Honorary Pallbearers will be: Derry Adams and Donald Cox.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, you make a donation to the diabetes foundation in Harold's memory.
