Grace M. Sisson Thomas, age 92, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday May 5, 2014 at the Holzer Medical Center. Born August 20, 1921 in Gallia County, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Frank and Nettie Halfhill Sisson of the Kyger and Cheshire Community. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her Husband; Marvin W. Thomas whom she married on December 20, 1940 and he preceded her on July 22, 1987; 1 Son; David Lee Thomas, who was the founder of the French City Chiropractic; 4 Brothers; Dale, Carl, Fred, and Wayne Sisson; and by 2 Sisters; Helen Fife and Hazel Ralph.

Grace worked for Community Action for almost 30 years.

She is survived by 1 Daughter; Judy Thomas (Merrill) Wilcoxon of Gallipolis; 3 Grandchildren; Joey David (Rebecca) Wilcoxon, Stephen Lee (Portia) Wilcoxon, and Christopher B. (Kimberly) Wilcoxon all of Gallipolis; 7 Grandchildren; Brittany (Brad) Bowman of Pensacola, Florida, Adriana Wilcoxon, Pierce Wilcoxon, Natalie Grace Wilcoxon, Sterling Marie Wilcoxon, Savannah Wilcoxon, and August Wilcoxon all of Gallipolis and by 4 Great Great Grandchildren; MaryAnn, Jewel, John, and Levi Bowman.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Thursday May 8, 2014 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with the Pastor Joseph Godwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M

Pallbearers will be: Joey Wilcoxon, Steve Wilcoxon, Chris Wilcoxon, Don Ralph, Ralph Brown, and Robert Sisson.
