Harold A. Stover, age 88 of Gallipolis, left this world on Tuesday December 10, 2024 at home surrounded by his loved ones, family and friends. Harold was born May 19, 1936 in Mason County, WV. He was the son of the late Harry Stover and Alice Flint Duncan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a son, Jeffrey Stover, a sister, Glenna Henderson and by a brother, Russell Stover.

Harold retired from Century Aluminum after 32 years of service. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed spending time in Canada and Nags Head.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Higgins Stover, daughter, Rachel Gleason, sons, Doug (Jackie) Stover, Shane Stover and Ricky Gleason, grandchildren, Linsey Stover (Ethan), Josh Stover, Abi (JR) Howard, Owen Weethee, Orilee Weethee, Victoria Ufer and Bryson Ufer, great grandchildren, Isaac Weethee, Ariya, Easton and Everly Adams. He is also survived by 3 sisters and 2 brothers and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his favorite fishing companion, his poodle, Mollie.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Saturday December 14, 2024 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be: Doug Stover, Joshua Stover, Owen Weethee, Orilee Weethee, Bryson Ufer and Ethan Adams.
