Obituary

Hazel Virginia Henry, age 97, of Crown City, passed away Monday evening June 2, 2014 at Holzer Medical Center. Born February 7, 1917 in Lesage, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late James 'Jim' and Ruby Woodrum McClure. In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded by her husband, Lawrence L. Henry who she married on June 10, 1933 in Gallia County and who preceded her on November 18, 1988, by 3 sons, Danny Henry, and infant twins, Earl and Ray Henry, by a sister, Annabelle Allen, and by 3 brothers, James, Roy and Elbert 'Jack' McClure. Hazel was a Homemaker.
She is survived by, 6 children, Peggy Ford of Gallipolis, Kenny Henry of Springfield, Steve (Linda) Henry of Crown City, James (Judy) Henry of Beverly Hills, Florida, Betty Fent of Crown City, and Vickie (Kenneth) Ward of Crown City. 16 grandchildren, and a host of great grand, great great grand, and great great great grandchildren, also surviving are 2 sisters, Louise Thomas of Columbus, and Linda Akins of Columbus.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Thursday June 5, 2014 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from Noon until the time of service.
