Homer Hill Jr., age 86, of Bidwell, died Thursday morning September 20, 2018. Born August 1, 1932 in Hogsett, WV, he was the son of the late Homer Robert Hill and the late Garnet Lesta Martin Hill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Ethel Faye DeVault Hill, 2 sons, Tommy Hill and David Hill; 1 daughter Patty Pelfrey; 4 brothers, Edward Hill, Marvin Hill, Floyd Harold Hill, and Roy Lee Hill; 1 Sister, Betty Dewitt, and by a son in law, Lonnie Neal.

Homer was a farmer and enjoyed coon hunting.

He is survived by 1 daughter, Wanda Neal of Henderson, WV., 4 sons, Ronald (Risa) Hill of Gallipolis, Rick (Debbie) Hill of Bidwell, Kenny (Debbie) Hill of Bidwell, and Terry (Paula) Hill of Vinton; 14 grandchildren, Chris (Stephanie) Neal of Bidwell, Laura Stein of Grove City, Carrie (James) Franklin of Gallipolis, Misty (Brad) Rose of Gallipolis, Travis (Amanda) Hill of Gallipolis, Susan Hill of Bidwell, Shari Hill of Bidwell, Ryan Hill of Vinton, Kendra Hill of Vinton, Jenny (Shawn) Mount of Vinton, and Sarah (Jake) Saunders of Vinton, Tiffany (William) Chambers of Green Springs, OH, Bethany (Brad) Barnes of Valley Park, MO and Anthony (Chelsea) Frisbee of Gypsum, OH; 23 great grandchildren, Brycen Neal, Jaden Neal, Patty Stein, Cole Franklin, Logan Rose, Maddy Rose, Gage Ronald Hill, Abigail Faye Hill, Jace Hill, Alexis Hill, Mariah Hurt, Darryn Garnes, Lyvia Garnes, Colton Hill, Easton Mount, Airella Mount, Evan Mount, Lillliann Saunders, Adalee Saunders, Buchannon, Coltyn, Kallie and Abraham. 1 Brother, Elmer Hill of Rio Grande, and by 1 Sister, Juanita Bane of Gallipolis. He is also survived by his special caregivers Jack and Pam Riley, Jacob Riley, and Casey and Jordan Jarrell.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Sunday September 23, 2018 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Heath Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday 1 hour prior to services.
