J. Marlene Vaughan Townsend Wiseman, age 75, of Bidwell, died Saturday evening January 30, 2016 at her residence. Born September 12, 1940 in Wayne, WV. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edith Sansom Vaughan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husbands, Thomas Townsend and John Wiseman, by a son, Jonathan Wiseman, by a brother, Tom Vaughan, and by a son in law Greg Roberts.
Marlene was a retired LPN and a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Pt. Pleasant.
She is survived by six children, Teresa Harper of Charleston, Chilta Stanley of Huntington, Lee Ann (Mark) Clark of Bidwell, Paula (Mike) Spiewak of Ferndale, MI., Jay (Leslie) Wiseman of Pittsboro, NC. and Cyndy Roberts of Ewington. 24 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Connie Hoobler of West Valley City, UT., two brothers, George (Connie) Vaughan of Freeport, FL., and Wendell Vaughan of Freeport, FL. and her special friend, Beulah Rogers of Pt. Pleasant, WV.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM. Thursday February 4, 2016 at the Main Street Baptist Church in Pt. Pleasant, with Pastor Richard Sargent officiating.
