James E. "Jim" McGuire, age 69, of Gallipolis, died Saturday October 14, 2017 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Born October 1, 1948 in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Luther and Bessie Sheets McGuire Colf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a sister, Mary Lou Wysong and by two brothers, Chuck and John McGuire.

He retired as a truck driver and enjoyed being around his friends.

He is survived by his sister, Patty Bennett of Gallipolis.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday October 18, 2017 at Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow at Patriot Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
