James Elmer 'Jimmy' Foster, age 69, of Gallipolis, died Tuesday evening September 23, 2014 at Holzer Medical Center. Born September 1, 1945 in Georgetown, Ohio. Jimmy was the son of the late Hermus and Sarah J. Foster. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded by a sister, Margaret Jane Craig, and by his best friend, Russell 'Russ' Shouse.
Jimmy was a laborer and loved to watch wrestling.
He is survived by his friend, Chris (Roberta) Meek of Gallipolis, with whom he made his home for many years, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Monday September 29, 2014 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Alvis Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from Noon until the time of service.
