James Richard 'Jim' Denney, age 45, of Bidwell, died Sunday evening October 9, 2011 at Holzer Medical Center. Born October 4, 1966 in Gallia County. He was the son of the late James Denney and Barbara Ross Denney of Columbus.
Jim was an union Ironworker, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his Mother, Barbara Ross Denney of Columbus, Wife, Susan Thompson Denney of Bidwell, 4 Children, Candace Denney of Gallipolis, Jessie Cox of Addison, Charles (Stacey) Cox of Gallipolis, and Jacob Cox of Oak Hill. 2 Grandchildren, Blake Whitt and Cali French. 1 Brother, Russell Denney of Columbus, and 1 sister, Patty Allen of Columbus.
Graveside services will be 2:30 PM. Friday October 14, 2011 at Campaign Cemetery with Rev. Michael Thompson officiating. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be: Charles Cox, Jacob Cox, Michael Shato, Bub Thompson, Dewey Roberts, and Jared Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers will be L.T. Theiss, and Jeff Cox.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to the family to help with expenses.
