Janet May Robinson, 84, passed peacefully on October 30, 2022, at Holzer Assisted Living in Gallipolis, Ohio with loving family by her side. Janet came into the world 10 minutes before her beloved twin, Janice Fay on November 21, 1937, in Clifton, WV; born to the late Asa Pearl Nicholson and the late Evelyn (Cartwright) Nicholson. Janet Married Earl Wayne Robinson in October of 1958. For many years Janet worked at Robbins and Myers in Gallipolis and made lifelong friendships in that space. Janet loved to cheer on the Ohio State Buckeyes. She loved to cook for her family and was extremely proud of her children. Janet enjoyed playing euchre, bingo, and Mexican train dominos with family and friends. She was exuberant and always brought life and light to any room. Janet never lost her since of style, her charm, or her humor. Janet was preceded in death by the father of her children, Earl Robinson, brother-in-law, John Curtis Roush, sister, Mary Roush, brother and sister in-law, Charles and Margie Cartwright, nieces, Cinda Roush and Janet "Betsy" Bergdoll. Janet is survived by children, Steve (Donna) Jenkins, Cheryl (Mark) Jenson, Nick (Heather) Robinson and David (Michael Cunningham) Robinson. She leaves a legacy that also includes 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Beloved siblings surviving are sister, Wanda Roush, twin sister, Jan (Wayne) Bergdoll, and brother, Nick (Jeanne) Nicholson. Additionally, Janet is survived by longtime companion, Paul Somerville, Paula Somerville, and June and Ty Somerville and family, as Janet shared many special memories with them. Janet will also be fondly remembered by a special "sister-cousin" Gail Wilson, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins who were near and dear to her heart. Janet's memorial service will be 1:00 PM. Friday, November 4th at Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Hood of Gallipolis officiating. Friends and family may call on the family from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, prior to the service. A private burial will take place at Kirkland Cemetery near Pt. Pleasant, WV. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ben Robinson, Seth Atkins, Stephen Atkins, and Sid Saunders; great nephew, Jackson Bergdoll; and bonus grandson, Alex Somerville. As a final thanks to the wonderful staff at Holzer Assisted Living for their amazing care, the family requests that those who wishing to honor Jan consider a memorial donation to Holzer Assisted Living 300 Briarwood Drive Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
