John Orville Berger, age 75, of Cheshire, passed away on Wednesday November 4, 2015 at Holzer Medical Center. Born June 9, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio he was the son of the late John and Eleanor McLaughlin Berger.
John was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Pomeroy, and was an avid OSU Buckeye, football and basketball fan.
He is survived by his wife Leah 'Cameron' Berger of Cheshire, and several other family members in Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday November 7, 2015 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastors David Brainard and Lamar O'Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
