John H. Maloney, age 79, of Gallipolis, died Saturday June 4, 2011 at his residence. Born November 24, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY. He was the son of the late Herbert and Lillian Boeldt Maloney. In addition to his parents, John was preceded by an infant son, John Maloney and by a brother, Earl Maloney.
John was a Plant Engineer, retiring from American Alloys in New Haven, WV. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and a member of Riverside Golf Club. He enjoyed playing in the Tuesday men's golf league at Riverside, and also enjoyed bowling in the Wednesday night men's league at Skyline Lanes.
John is survived by his wife, Garnet Ridgeway Maloney of Gallipolis, who he married on May 30, 1964.
3 Children: Tim Maloney of Gallipolis, Julia Parissi of Gallipolis and Kelly (Scott) Havice of Fremont, OH.
2 Grandchildren: Jared Parissi, and Abby Havice.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM. Tuesday June 7, 2011 at St. Louis Catholic Church with Monsignor William Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the New Matamoras Cemetery, in New Matamoras, OH. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Monday from 6-8 PM. with a Catholic Prayer Service at 8:00 PM.
