Joshua Neal McGuire, age 28, of Gallipolis, died Thursday morning September 24, 2015 at the Charleston Area Medical Center. Born July 23, 1987 in Gallipolis he was the son of Dennis and Gwen Gilliam McGuire of Gallipolis.
Josh was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School and the Buckeye Hills Career Center, and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister and brother in law, Winter and Greg Branham of Bidwell, a grandmother, Viola McGuire of Gallipolis, aunts and uncles, Charles and Debbie Gatewood of Crown City, Randy and Sue Gilliam of Gallipolis, Chuck and Marjorie Wood of Gallipolis, Bob and Rhonda McGuire of Crown City, Carol McGuire of Rio Grande, Mark and Marilyn Foster of Conyers, GA., Brian and Leslie McGuire of Patriot, Karen Tabor of Gallipolis, and Sandy Gatewood of Gallipolis. Also surviving are two nieces, Madeline and Sophia Branham of Bidwell and several cousins.
He was preceded by his grandparents, Jim and Eleanor Gilliam, a grandfather, Lester McGuire, and by an uncle, Tom McGuire.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Saturday September 26, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 4-8 PM.
Pallbearers will be: Jamie Jones, Jesse Jones, Steve Merry, Jesse Patrick, Dereck Pemberton, Travis Halley, Jeremiah Johnson, Zach Pugh and Josiah Harrison.
