Kelly Jean Cooper, age 52, of Athens, Ohio passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at her residence. Born in Gallipolis on May 7, 1972, she was the daughter of Jerry D. Raines and the late Belinda L. Birchfield Raines. In addition to her mother, she was preceded by her father-in-law, Lonnie L. Cooper.

Kelly was a homemaker. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter and friend. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed by those that were fortunate enough to have known and felt her love and support.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Cooper; sons, Kenneth R. Cooper Jr., Jeffrey A. Cooper and Christopher L. Cooper; father, Jerry D. Raines and by a brother, Jerry A. Raines.

Burial will be Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Dickey Chapel Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 PM. till 1:45 PM.
