Obituary

Kenneth Edward 'Kenny' Siders age 83 of Gallipolis, died Saturday morning January 10, 2026 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Born January 14, 1942 in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Worthy Guy and Christadel Mondee Meaige Siders Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by son, Jeffrey, Kevin and Kenneth E. 'Smooth' Siders II, siblings, Jean Ann Bates, Worthy Siders Jr. Johnny Siders, Vern Harrison Jr. and Ronnie Harrison.

Kenny retired as a Boilermaker from Local 667. He was a member of Morning Dawn Masonic Lodge #7 and a member of the First Church of God in Gallipolis. He enjoyed going to yard sales, spending the winters in Florida and watching football, He was blessed with many years of watching all his grandchildren and great grandchildren play various sports. He was also very proud of his collection of Hawaiian shirts.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan Smith Siders, son, Vernon Wayne (Monica) Siders, daughter- in- law, Leighana Patrick Siders, grandchildren, Malerie (Micah) Cardwell, Kayla (Jim) Gilmore, Braden (Ashleigh) O'Neil, Blake Siders, Morgan (Brett) Steinbeck, Madison (Jordan) Cornwell, McKenzie (James) Carmichael and Macey (Trystan) Peyton, 17 great grandchildren and 1 more due this winter. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a multitude of friends.

He will be greatly missed by his lifelong adopted brother and sister-in-law, Don and Leanna Kingery, their daughters, Marissa (Adam) Stapleton and Lindsey (David) Hapney and their daughters, Reese and Alayna Hapney.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Friday January 16, 2026 with Pastor Dustin Cobble officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 PM. till time of the service.

Pallbearers will be: Jim Gilmore, Blake Siders, Braden O'Neil, Brett Steinbeck, Jordan Cornwell, James Carmichael, Trystan Peyton and Jesse Nussbaum.

Following the casket will be: Noah Devine, Owen Cardwell, Bentley Gilmore and Jaxson Gilmore.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Don Kingery, Ronnie Bonecutter, Ron Bonecutter, Danny Bonecutter, Bob Rulen, Bubby Martin and Tim Siders.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the First Church of God, 1723 State Route 141 Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
