Lawana Charlene Bostic, 83, of Cadmus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 27th, 2026,
surrounded by family, at the Jenkins Care Community in the Memory Care Unit.
Born on June 1, 1942, Lawana was the beloved daughter of Elva and Sadie Blanche Straight. She
was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose heart was fullest when
surrounded by those she loved the most.
Lawana will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the deep love she had for her family. Her
presence brought comfort, her wisdom guided many, and her smile could light up any room.
Lawana is survived by her children, Tami (Mark) Null, Tina (Randy) Layton, and Tim Bostic; her six
cherished grandchildren, Brianna (Darrin) Exline, Bailee (Shane) Spies, Ciara (Justin) Weaver, Carlie
(Brett) Sisson, Coleton (Jordan) Bostic and Tori (Joey) Reitano; and her eleven precious great
grandchildren, Austyn, Rogan, Brantley, Emersyn, Vaida, Sawyer, Russell, Ruby, Lincoln, Laurel, and
Rhett, with another granddaughter on the way.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brian Bostic, daughter-in-law, Melissa (Adkins)
Bostic; her brothers, Billy and Ronnie Straight; her sisters, Agnus Brumfield, Polly Jenkins, and
Elladean Mitchell, an infant sister, Evelyn, and her parents, Elva and Sadie Straight.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Holzer Medical Center
Second Floor CCU as well as 4 West, Jenkins Memory Care, and NCR Hospice for their
compassionate care. A special thanks to Dr. Riffle for his kindness and patience.
Although she may be gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts.
Graveside services will be held at Olive Church Cemetery in Cadmus, Ohio, on Wednesday, April 1,
2026, at 1:00PM with Robert Amiet officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be mailed to Olive Cemetery Association, c/o Roberta Rutt, 16720
State Route 218, Scottown, Ohio 45678 or Richard Ingles, 19094 State Route 141, Patriot, Ohio
45658. A collection box will also be available at the cemetery.
