Louise Memphis 'Granny' Daniels, age 96, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday October 26, 2013. Louise was born on March 20, 1917 to the late Charles Day and the late Geneva Brumfield Day.
Louise retired from the Gallipolis State Institute in 1979. She enjoyed living life to the fullest. She enjoyed a good game of cards and spending quality time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters: Joyce (Robert) Raynard of Centerburg, OH; Shelba (Bernard) Rossiter of Gallipolis, OH; one son: James (Phyllis) Daniels of Gallipolis, OH; two sisters: Hildreth Williams and Delma (Gene) Brown both of Gallipolis, OH. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by two sons: Carl Daniels and Wayne Daniels; three sisters: Luella Raike, Irene Unroe, and Charlotte Day; and by one granddaughter: Robin Raynard.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 31, 2013 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Swan Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m.
Pallbearers will be: Mike Green, Justin Carter, Scott Lanham, Roger Davis and Lawrence Unroe.
