Lounettia B. Davis, age 66, of Gallipolis, died Sunday September 13, 2015 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington. Born June 25, 1949 in Charleston, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lester Ray and Mary Louise Hinkle Carte. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a sister, Neena Carte Betz.
Lounettia retired as a Registered Nurse from Pleasant Valley Hospital. She was a member of the Gallipolis Church of Christ in Christian Union, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.
She is survived by, her former husband, Robert Davis of Gallipolis, son, Robert 'Rob' Davis of Gallipolis, two daughters, Sandy Davis and Amanda Davis both of Gallipolis. One sister, Mary Carte of Whitesboro, Texas, one grandson, Tyler Davis of Oak Hill and a daughter in law, Mary Davis of Oak Hill.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Friday September 18, 2015 at the Church of Christ in Christian Union 2173 Eastern Ave. Gallipolis. Burial will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. A fellowship dinner will follow the burial at the church. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 PM. at the church.
