Obituary

Our loving Wife, Mother, and "Nan Nan" Luella Lee Holcomb, went to be with her "Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" on Wednesday January 12, 2011. She was surrounded by her family when the angels came to escort her home, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, West Virginia. She was born February 11, 1933 in Crown City, Ohio and married her life long soul mate Elza Lee Holcomb on February 22, 1958 in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Lawrence M. and Martha Saul Mooney, 2 Sisters, Audrey Watson and Anna Ross, and by 1 Brother, Clarence Mooney.

She is survived by her Husband, Elza Lee Holcomb, 1 Son, Lee Allen (Janet) Holcomb, and by 2 Grandsons, Adam (Haylie) Holcomb, and Andrew (Rebekah) Holcomb all of Gallipolis. Also surviving are several Nieces, Nephews, and other extended family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday January 16, 2010 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in the Swan Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 to 9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be sent in her honor to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House 3100 Staunton Road Huntington, West Virginia 25702. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice House for the outstanding care, love, and support they have shown to Luella and her family.
Pallbearers will be Don Kingery, Tim Watson, Mark Mooney, Mike Dennison, John Meeks, and Shawn Meeks. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marlin Mooney and Roger Morgan.
