Marshall Alexander Brown, age 87 of Gallipolis, died Friday January 28, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington. Born August 27, 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Marshall Alexander and Marie Byrne verSteeg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, John W. Brown Jr.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and active in numerous community organizations.
Marshall is survived by 4 children, John W. (Pamela) Brown III of Lexington, KY., Jane Austin (Joseph) Burgess Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL., Katherine Marshall (Chuck) Kainer of Georgetown, TX., and David (Debra) McPherson Brown of Lexington, VA.
7 grandchildren, Taylor and Marshall Brown, Ashley and Joseph Burgess III, Cameron Kainer, John and Emily Brown.
2 special friends,Twila Brown of Lexington, VA. and Molly Martin of Gallipolis.
The family would like to thank all her friends throughout the years for their love and support.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM.Wednesday February 2, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tim Luoma officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 AM. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Bossard Memorial Library in her memory.
