Obituary

Marvin Ray Skaggs, age 78, of Gallipolis died Sunday February 16, 2025, at his daughter's home in Washington Court House. Born September 2, 1946, in Lowmansville, Kentucky he was the son of the late Brack and Maggie Hatfield Skaggs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by several brothers and sisters.

Marvin was a member of the White Oak Church.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Gardner Skaggs of Gallipolis; daughters, Jennifer (Eric) Williams of Washington Court House and Amanda (Tony) Nibert of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Carl White, Shi-Anna Hunt, Dakota (Destanee) Hunt, Stephen (Shawna) White, Savannah (David) White; great grandchildren, Dyson Hunt, Z.J. Penick, Shi' Aira Penick and Sawyer Davis; and by sisters, Ann Knotts and Rosetta Bales.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM. Saturday February 22, 2025, at the White Oak Church with Carl Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the White Oak Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM. till the time of service.

Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the VFW #4464 Honor Guard.
