Max S. Reeves, age 96, of Cincinnati, and formerly of Gallia County, died Monday June 6, 2011 at the Maple Knoll Village Retirement Community in Cincinnati. Born May 11, 1915 in Addison. He was the son of the late Henry and Alta Switzer Reeves. In addition to his parents he was preceded by 1 brother, and 5 sisters, including Thelma Epple and Ruth Wagoner.
Max was a World War II Navy Veteran. He retired from AT&T after 40 years of service. He was a member of Addison Methodist Church, and a life member of the NRA.
He is survived by 1 son, Max W. Reeves of TX. 2 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Friday June 17, 2011 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral Home with Pastor Larry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from Noon until the time of service.
Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail
