Merrill Eugene Shriver, age 83, of Bidwell, died Wednesday morning January 25, 2023 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Born January 15, 1940 in Bidwell, he was the son of the late Curtis Shriver and Thelma Faye Nolan Shriver Lamm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by daughters; Catherine Yvonne Shriver and Cynthia Lynn Shriver, ½ sisters; Barbara Rossiter, Linda Waugh, Marsha Lamm, and Diana Unroe, and by ½ brothers; Garry Lamm and Donald Keith Lamm.

Merrill was a retired truck driver and a member of the Morning Dawn Lodge #7.

He is survived by his wife; Laura L. Stewart Shriver of Bidwell, sons; Michael Eugene Shriver of Bidwell, and Ricky Lee Shriver of Gallipolis, brother; James Darrell 'Dick' (Rita) Shriver of Bidwell, and by ½ brothers; Larry Nolan of Thurman, and Ancel Lamm of Gallipolis.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Saturday January 28, 2023 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 PM. to 2:00 PM.

Masonic services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 2:00 PM by Morning Dawn Lodge #7.
